Peer Mediation Play |
Peer Mediation Program
During morning assembly, 5th grade students explained how to solve problems peacefully using the Peer Mediation Program. Students who are in conflict with another student can use this process instead of getting in a fight. When a problem arises, students can work it out by talking it out. At our school, our goal is solve problems peacefully by focusing on the solutions. That means we don't yell, hit, kick or push. Many of our students have learned how to use the Peace Table in their classrooms to solve problems on their own. When students need help, these 5th graders are willing to mediate without bias towards a win-win solution.
